[edit] Biography

In January 1935, Earhart was attempting to fly solo across the Pacific Ocean when she spotted a sinking ship with a survivor in a diving suit on board. Flying around for another pass, the survivor used his whip to lash onto her plane, and eventually climbed aboard - it turned out to be an acquaintance of hers - Indiana Jones. Because she was trying to be the first person to fly solo from Hawaii to the mainland United States, she told Jones that he would be kicked out at the first boat she saw. Jones kept her secret, and Earhart's flight was another record for the history books.

In 1937, this time attempting to travel the world, Earhart disappeared in the Pacific, and her body was never recovered.
