Bjorn Heimdall was an archaeologist.
Bjorn Heimdall used to dig for Norse graves in Denmark. However, after seeing strange artifacts from the Jastro expedition, he went to Iceland to look for the 'secret of the Hyperborea'. Heimdall revisited an old dig site to obtain Atlantean artifacts, and believed that Iceland was used by aliens as a spaceport (since north is near to Ether) to found colonies like Atlantis.
He discovered a coil-like device resembling an eel although he would not determine what it was. His theories varied between a lighthouse, a foot-warmer or a homing beacon for wayward spaceships.
He was visited in Iceland by Indiana Jones and Sophia Hapgood in 1939 and was not happy to see them, preferring solitude. He redirected them to seek out Charles Sternhart and Felipe Costa. When Jones and Hapgood returned to see Heimdall, he was found frozen to death, having stayed inside a cave too long while attempting to excavate the eel. However, the poor archaeologist had managed to expose the figurine, allowing Jones to take it.
Behind the scenesEdit
Heimdall is named after a Norse god. His name suggests that he hails from a Scandinavian country.
