An Arab goon was among a group of thugs hired by two German Gestapo intelligence agents to kill American archaeologist Indiana Jones and bar owner Marion Ravenwood and retrieve the Headpiece to the Staff of Ra in the marketplace of Cairo, Egypt in 1936. The thug, along with five other hired goons, attacked Jones and Ravenwood in the corner of the marketplace next to a silverware stall and attempted to kill the two Americans. However, though Marion was captured, Jones was able to escape the thugs.
Hired to kill Edit
In 1936, an Arab resided in Cairo, Egypt as a goon-for-hire. That year, along with nine other local goons, he was hired by two German Gestapo intelligence agents to kill American archaeologist Indiana Jones and bar owner Marion Ravenwood and acquire the Headpiece to the Staff of Ra in the marketplace of Cairo.
Following a failed attempt made by six of the thugs to kill the Americans, Jones and Ravenwood inadvertantly split up, and the latter was found hiding out in a basket. On orders from the German agent, another two Arabs picked up the basket, with Marion still inside, and began a mad dash through the streets of Cairo, Jones following close behind. The two Arabs soon finally reached a German truck and, after swapping the basket with another, dumping their package in the back of the truck, where another Arab waited with a machine gun.
The other Arab peppered Jones with gunfire, before getting into the passenger seat of the truck and leaning out of the vehicle, gun pointed at the archaeologist. With the basket and one of the German agents in the back of the troop carrier, this Arab acted as the driver of the truck and went forwards, only for Jones to leap out from behind cover and shoot the passenger three times in the chest. The passenger slumped out of the truck, before Jones shot the driver in the head and the vehicle toppled over and exploded due to explosives held inside it.
