Charleville is a French commune.
In 1916, an underage Indiana Jones made a poor attempt to trick the Belgian Recruiting Sergeant into enlisting him as a fellow countryman called Henri Defense. On his form he claimed to be from Charleville but when the sergeant pointed out that that was in France, 'Defense' unconvincingly added that he was from its little known Belgian namesake near the city of Bruges.
