Chewbacca or Sasquatch was a large ape-like creature that appeared on the planet in the 1800s.

Chewbacca was a friend of Han Solo and copilot of the Millennium Falcon. On one instance, they accidentally traveled to Earth, and they crashed landed. Han Solo was killed by Indians, but Chewbacca roamed the forest, and was named "Sasquatch" by the Indians. Later, when archaeologist Indiana Jones and Short Round searched for Sasquatch, they found Han's remains, which looked 'eerily familiar.'
