Douglas Slocombe

From Indiana Jones Wiki

Douglas Slocombe (born February 10, 1913 in London, England) served as cinematographer for Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. As he retired after completing Last Crusade, Janusz Kaminski filled the role for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Prior to production, Kaminski and director Steven Spielberg viewed the first three Indiana Jones films in order to study Slocombe's style, which Kaminski later tried to emulate during shooting..[1]

Prior to the Indiana Jones films, Slocombe was an established cinematographer, and had photographed the India sequence of Spielberg's 1977 film Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
