"Egypt, May 1908" was the first issue of Dark Horse Comics's twelve comic adaptations of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles. This issue was based on the first half of the television movie Young Indiana Jones and the Curse of the Jackal, and was released on February 1, 1992.

Henry Jones Jr. embarks on a voyage around the world with his parents and his new tutor, Miss Seymour. While Henry Jones, Sr. lectures at some of the world's greatest universities, young Henry learns the lessons that will one day make him the adventurer Indiana Jones. In this issue, he meets Lawrence of Arabia by the pyramids of Egypt and faces one of the great questions of life: if many people have many beliefs, which religion is the true one?

The story is framed in the same way as the episode of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles -- with the adventures of Indiana Jones being told in the modern day by an aged Indiana Jones, to two schoolboys in the museum. The story ends when the mummy of Kha falls onto Indiana Jones, and is continued in the second issue.
The issue also contains the four page "So Then What Happened?" article written by Kurt Busiek, delving into the history of T. E. Lawrence and his role in the independence of Arabia, and Howard Carter and the discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun
