Facebook is an American online social media and social networking website company based on Menlo Park, California. It was founded by Mark Zuckerberg, Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes on February 4, 2004.
The Indiana Jones franchise has had a Facebook presence since around February 2008, created to promote the release of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull in theaters in the May of that year. The Indiana Jones account has also been a source of news on the series and, since 2016, has acted as a redirect for the official website IndianaJones.com's URL while the main site has been redesigned.
From 2011 to 2013, Facebook hosted Indiana Jones Adventure World, a social game by Zynga.
