Two Citroën Type 23 troop carriers were given to Walter Donovan by the Sultan of Hatay, in addition to the tank. Both broke away from the main Hatayan convoy and pursued Indiana Jones on horseback along with a Kübelwagen. All but one of the soldiers riding in the first truck boarded the Hatayan tank and fought with Jones. The second truckload of soldiers was blown up by Henry Jones using one of the tank's side cannons. The surviving truck continued on to the Canyon of the Crescent Moon.
