The Gold Bowl was a golden Chinese bowl. In 1939, it was discovered in a back alley of San Francisco's Chinatown by Indiana Jones, when he was tracking the kidnapped Suzie Tan. Jones noted in his journal that the bowl dates from the 8th century Tang dynasty.
The Gold Bowl looked quite similar to the Golden Bowl that Jones found inside the Lao Che Lounge, also in Chinatown.

The Gold Bowl is the first fortune artifact for the San Francisco level of the Wii/PS2 version of Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings. It can be found on a fire escape-type landing off of the first alley where Jones starts play.
