"We do not wish to make your lives short. We just want your money, your jewels, your gold."
―Jin Ming[src]

Jin Ming was the leader of a band of Chinese pirates.

Biography[]

In 1918, Jin Ming presented herself as the singer aboard a ship which departed from Batavia. However, once the ship was in the South China Sea, the pirate's crew attacked and stole the passengers' belongings, including a box discovered by Indiana Jones and Remy Baudouin purported to contain the Peacock's Eye.[2]

When Jin Ming and her crew left, they were followed by Jones, Baudouin and their duplicitous companion, Lily, who snuck aboard the pirates' vessel in a bid to take back the box. Jin Ming discovered the three inside the treasure-filled hold, however, and a gunfight broke out. Lily saw a chance to escape and grabbed the box despite Jones's insistence she stay behind cover, which ultimately allowed Jin Ming to kill Lily with a shot to the back. Although she didn't know what was inside, Jin Ming retrieved the box and ran when she and her crew were forced to abandon ship following a fire caused during the shoot out.[2]

Jin Ming's pirates journeyed to a tropical island, but the natives were hostile. By the time Jones and Baudouin caught up to her, Jin Ming was trying to flee the island but she was felled on the beach by a carefully aimed spear.[2]

Jin Ming was played by Alice Lau in Treasure of the Peacock's Eye.[2]
