North Korea is an Asian country which shares borders with China to the north and South Korea in the south. The country came into being when Korea was split in two during 1948.

Following the acquisition of Indiana Jones's journal in 1957, the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation provided North Korea's Research Department for External Intelligence agent "Mad Dog" with the information contained within it as a gesture to allied nations.[1]
