At the New York Comic Con on April 14, 2008, Gentle Giant Ltd. unveiled a prototype for an Indiana Jones paperweight set designed after artifacts from the films.
The set came with Dr. Jones' crate, his hat and whip, snakes, the Crystal Skull of Akator, the Holy Grail, the Ark of the Covenant, Sankara Stones, and a stone tablet with R2-D2 hieroglyphics from Raiders of the Lost Ark.
The three possible collections for buyers were blind boxes meaning that the customer didn't know which one they had bought until it was unpacked. They were sold at the New York Comic Con in 2008 and went on sale again at San Diego Comic Con in July 2008.
