Franklin Delano Roosevelt, also known by his initials FDR, was a United States president. During his presidency, Roosevelt served his country by repealing the Prohibition and introducing the New Deal. He then played a vital role in World War II alongside the United Kingdom's Prime Minister Winston Churchill and the Soviet Union's leader Joseph Stalin.

BiographyEdit

Franklin Delano Roosevelt succeeded Herbert Hoover as President of the United States of America in 1933.

A Nazi assassin made an attempt on Roosevelt's life for his actions. However, they were only successful in killing a body double.[1]

Roosevelt served in office until he succumbed to illness in 1945 (after which Harry Truman became his successor). During his presidency, Roosevelt became the first to be elected for three successive terms, Prohibition was repealed, the New Deal was introduced and he oversaw most of the US participation in World War II.
