A frying pan is a round, flat metal pan that is normally used as a cooking utensil, though it can also function as an effective, if improvised and somewhat primitive, weapon .

History[]

Several frying pans were among cooking utensils being sold at a stall in Cairo in 1936. When Marion Ravenwood was being chased by a thug, she grabbed one of the pans from the stall and brandished it to show she meant business. When the thug drew a knife and laughed darkly, she quickly decided that running was in her best interests and fled into a building. When the man followed her, she clobbered him with the pan, emitting a resounding clang and knocking him cold. As she spotted more thugs coming, she hid inside a basket with the pan, but lost it when she was captured.
