This German Officer served in the Waffen-SS in 1938. When Indiana Jones disguised himself as a German army officer in Berlin and accidentally got Adolf Hitler's autograph, the SS officer approached him and his father. He was jealous that Jones, whom he mistook for an officer of a lower rank, had gotten Hitler's autograph, and reprimanded him for not being at his post. Jones responded by decking the officer and knocking him out.

The scene where the officer confronts Jones was cut from the film but remains in the novelization and comic. He was portrayed by Paul Humpoletz.
