The Head of Peloptichonku was an artifact sought out by American archaeologist Indiana Jones around 1936.

History

Around the year 1936, Indiana Jones went looking for the legendary Head of Peloptichonku in a tomb protected by a two-thousand year old clockwork man.

Behind the scenes

The Head of Peloptichonku was intended to be featured in The Sentinel, a proposed title for an issue of Marvel Comics' The Further Adventures of Indiana Jones comic series but the story went unpublished. Pin-up art depicting Indiana Jones being attacked by the clockwork man was drawn by artist John Byrne which was later included in The Complete Making of Indiana Jones.
