Hetepheres was the mother of the pharaoh Khufu, who built the Great Pyramid of Giza.

Sallah Mohammed Faisel el-Kahir helped recover and catalog artifacts from the tomb of Hetepheres in 1925 for American archaeologist George Reisner.
