A Jade Key was used by Indiana Jones in mid-1930s' Mexico during his Site R excavations.

A jade key was also an object of interest to a man named Li in San Francisco who killed his own nephew to acquire it but the victim fell across the table of Indiana Jones at an open restaurant. When Jones's life was threatened, he appeared to throw the key at Li and his men and fled but they discovered that the object had been switched with a soup spoon.
