Jeb Stuart (b. January 21, 1956) is an American film director, producer and writer. His most famous works are the scripts of Die Hard (1989) and the film adaptation of The Fugitive (1993). The main character of the latter was played by Harrison Ford.
Shortly after the release of The Fugitive, Stuart was hired to write a script for the 4th Indiana Jones movie based on a story outlined by George Lucas. The result was Indiana Jones and the Saucermen from Mars, a script that was liked by Lucas but not by Steven Spielberg nor Harrison Ford, as they did not think back then that Indiana Jones should interact with extraterrestrials. The script languished for a time and was finally rejected in 1996 due to the release of Independence Day.
