Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar was an eating and drinking establishment that had its origin in a small Florida airfield founded by pilot Jock Lindsey.

Jock Lindsey had been considering converting an airplane hangar into a restaurant since at least 1936 although Indiana Jones dissuaded him from setting it up in Connecticut in favor of a warmer climate.[1]
In 1938, Lindsey discovered a small town in Florida while helping Jones in the archaeologist's search for the Fountain of Youth. During the 1940s, Lindsey returned to the settlement and set up a home and hangar on its waterfront, inviting fellow members of the Society of Explorers and Adventurers to enjoy drinks at his bar. Over time the airfield expanded and Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar was established in 1955.[2]
