Sir Lancelot duLac was a knight in medieval times (5th-15th century) and crusader, as well as the father of Galahad. Lancelot was noted in the Grail legend for not be worthy of the cup and turned away.
Lancelot was buried in a booby-trapped tomb located in the cavern beneath a church near Fountains Abbey, England alongside his sword. The weapon was later sought by archaeologist Doctor Seidread and a group of his rivals who ultimately found the sword first after escaping from the church where a party of Nazi spies and saboteurs were disguising themselves as priests.
In the final year of World War II, Dieterhoffmann likened himself to the unworthy Lancelot and compared his son Seigfried with Galahad in their search for the Spear of Longinus.
