Melmac was a planet.

In 1941, Syrian antiques dealer Yassir Al-Kassah haggled with Indiana Jones in Istanbul over the price of a vase. Al-Kassah reacted to the archaeologist's initial low offer of ten dollars with the same tone as if having learned he was alien from Melmac abandoned on Earth as a baby.

Behind the scenesEdit

Melmac is the homeworld of the titular alien from the 1980s American sitcom ALF and was referenced in the German Indiana Jones novel Indiana Jones und das Labyrinth des Horus by the book's narrator.
