The Ming Dynasty was the ruling dynasty of China from 1368 until 1644 when they were overthrown by the Manchu who established the Manchu (Qing) Dynasty.
Indiana Jones studied the Chinese dynasties while visiting the country in 1910.
In 1938, Henry Jones smashed what at first looked like a fourteenth century Ming vase over the head of his son but was relieved to discover that it was a fake. Indiana found a genuine Ming Vase a year later in San Francisco's Chinatown.
