Nubian Boy at Mine

The Nubian Boy at Mine was a Sudanese pre-adolescent male encountered by Indiana Jones in 1947 at the pyramids of Meroe. He claimed to want to be like Englishmen (having been educated by English missionaries) and would only use his balancing skills to aid Jones only when Jones killed a local pack of hyenas and gave him a pocketwatch (that of Heinrich Horner), which the boy felt would make him seem more industriaized.
