[edit] Behind the scenes

Indiana Jones' daughter first appeared in the U.K. bookends for "Chicago, May 1920". The episode's end credits list Susan Bigelow as playing "Old Indy's daughter". Although Bigelow appears only briefly at the end of the episode, she reprised the role for "Ireland, April 1916", in which her character plays a larger role.

During development of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Frank Darabont's script, Indiana Jones and the City of the Gods, involved Indiana Jones and Marion Ravenwood having a 13-year-old daughter. However, Spielberg objected to the idea, finding it too similar to The Lost World: Jurassic Park.[4] Instead, a son was developed for Indy and Marion. According to Crystal Skull screenwriter David Koepp, the son (Mutt Williams, played by Shia LaBeouf) was then developed by Jeff Nathanson and George Lucas.[5] LaBeouf said he would have prefered Indiana Jones had a daughter in the film (who was long-rumored to be played by Natalie Portman) instead of a son.[6]

In the TV series, the character is never fully developed, and her precise relation with Indy's son, Mutt Williams is not known, since he was much later established in the canon.
