Paramount Pictures
From Indiana Jones Wiki
Paramount Pictures is an American movie and television company. It distributed all four Indiana Jones films. Its contract with Lucasfilm Ltd. means it will distribute a fifth film, should one be made.
Each of the four Indiana Jones films begins with the Paramount logo, a mountain summit, which then matches the opening shot of each film, a representation of a mountain peak:
- In Raiders of the Lost Ark, the summit becomes a Peruvian mountain. (In The Lost Journal of Indiana Jones, a map shows the location of the mountain, with Jones' note calling it the "Paramount peak of Mt. Shubet" as a reference to the company.)
- In Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, the summit becomes the mountain depicted on a gong being struck at Club Obi Wan in Shanghai.
- In Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, the summit becomes a rocky spire in the Utah canyon lands.
- In Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, the summit becomes a mound of dirt being pushed up by gophers or prairie dogs in the Nevada countryside.
The opening shot of the story in the Wii/PS2 version of Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings recreates a Paramount logo motif, by using a solitary mountain peak near the Sudan Temple.
