Paul Smith was an American agent working for Federal Bureau of Investigation. In 1957, he and agent Taylor interrogated Indiana Jones following the archaeologist's escape from Hangar 51 and the nuclear blast over Doom Town. He suspected Jones of being a Communist in league with the Soviets. He was on a first-name basis with General Ross.
