Pierre Duclos was the onsite photographer for the Howard Carter dig near the Valley of the Kings in Luxor. He became implicated in the murder of Rasheed Sallam when a powder similar to that used for a camera flash was found on the corpse and he was seen acting suspiciously around the camp.
In actuality, Duclos was simply secretly taking pictures he could sell for the newspaper story and helped the young Indiana Jones and T. E. Lawrence discover the true culprit.
