Prospero was an eccentric old man who searched the mountains for mineral springs with certain properties to allow him to distil his longevity elixir. Indiana Jones met him after rescuing Prospero's Grandson from a lynch mob. When Indy learned the old man plans to cause a huge rock to slide down on a nearby army camp he attempted to thwart the plan.
