Professor Richard Manchester was a researcher at the University of Chicago who specialized in Greek mythology. Manchester was interested in finding an alicorn but members of the Mafia found out following his correspondence with Hilary Deor, and had him gunned down near The Nest before he was due to meet with Benny the Rat at the Chicago blues club on a Labor Day evening.
