Shia LaBeouf, born June 11, 1986, played Mutt Williams in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. He also wrote the forward to James Luceno's book Indiana Jones: The Ultimate Guide, and hosted Cartoon Network's LEGO Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Brick.

LaBeouf made the transition to film roles with Holes, a box office success; and supporting roles in Constantine and I, Robot. Following his lead role in The Greatest Game Ever Played, film producer and director Steven Spielberg also cast him in starring roles in the 2007 films Disturbia and Transformers. LaBeouf also played Jacob in New York, I Love You (alongside co-star John Hurt).

Acting-wise, LaBeouf has cited John Turturro (whom he acted alongside in Transformers) as one of his inspirations,^[1] who is the brother of Young Indiana Jones actor Nicholas Turturro.
