Stockholm, December 1909 was an unproduced episode of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, which would have been part of the third season of the series. The subjects of the episode would have been geography and ecology. The theme was to have been "Where is Sweden?", and the historical figure Indy would encounter was the Swedish author Selma Lagerlöf.
In the episode, Indy was to fall asleep and have a dream intended to serve as a reference to Lagerlöf's most famous work. A children's book, "Nils Holgerssons Underbara Resa Genom Sverige" ("The Wonderful Adventures of Nils") concerns a boy that has been magically transformed by a gnome to five inches high as a punishment for his mischief. Nils then travels over most of Sweden, sitting on the back of a flying goose.
Indy seems to reference the episode in "London, May 1916", when he tells Vicky Prentiss that Stockholm is one of his favorite cities. He also takes the name Nils while undercover as a Swedish reporter in "Istanbul, September 1918".
