The Sultan's Bottle was tall round glass bottle or vase. The neck of the bottle had a blue band, and the base of the bottle had a Turkish inscription. Likely made in the 1500s, it survived the centuries and ended up in a marketplace in Istanbul, Turkey.

In 1939, Indiana Jones recovered the bottle after solving a puzzle regarding different musical tones in the Istanbul bazaar. Jones made notes about the bottle and how he discovered its hiding place.

Behind the scenesEdit

The bottle appears in Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings as Selim's Water Bottle. The bottle of Sultan Selim II. Instead of being found in the city, the bottle is found deep under the Sultan's palace. Both share the same artwork/concept art.
