The Federal Republic of Switzerland is a small mountainous country, located in the middle of the Alps, north of Italy, east of France, west of Austria and south of Germany. The country is divied in 26 semi-independant cantons, on a model quite similar to the United States of America.
During the two World Wars, although having an unenviable position, the country remained untouched, but didn't participate in the conflicts either. It is well known for its banks and its chocolate.
Vladimir Lenin spent his exile there, during the First World War until 1917, when he returned to the soon-to-be Soviet Union.
