"Did you read that squib in the N.Y. Times?"

The New York Times is an English-language newspaper, published from New York City from 1851.

In 1934, the paper reported on the death of Evelyn Briggs Baldwin.

In 1937, a wit-filled piece of writing appeared in The New York Times about Indiana Jones and a rajah. A Barnett College student named Lucy told her friend about the piece when her friend announced that she had gotten into Jones' "Archaeology 101" course.
