Timbuktu is a city in West Africa.
At some point in his career, Indiana Jones traveled to Timbuktu to recover a Golden Pharaoh Mask smuggled out of Egypt three millenia prior. However, others had learned of Jones's intentions and the archaeologist found himself in a race to claim the artifact with people pretending to be him.
