Tom Stoppard is a Czech-born British playwright and screenwriter.

Under his pen name, Barry Watson,[1] Stoppard was an uncredited writer for Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and according to Steven Spielberg he is responsible for most of the dialogues in the film.[2]

He also contributed, uncredited, to one of the Star Wars prequel films, at the request of Spielberg.[3]

Stoppard has worked on the screenplays of Terry Gilliam's Brazil (1985), John Madden's Shakespeare in Love (1998) and another Steven Spielberg film, Empire of the Sun (1987).
