In the early 1990s, the New York Chapter of the Multi-Racial Educational Trust Fund held a benefit luncheon at the establishment, and the valet assisted an elderly Indiana Jones in parking his classic car. While Jones was unhappy at first to let the valet touch his car, he passed his keys over to the man. After the luncheon, the valet asked if Jones was the Dr. Henry Jones, archaeology author. When Jones responded affirmatively, the valet refused to accept a tip, as reading Jones' books had been enough of a reward. As Jones left with a smile on his face, the valet complimented him on his beautiful classic car.
Behind the scenesEdit
The valet appears only in the comic adaptation of "British East Africa, September 1909" and not in the episode "British East Africa, September 1909" of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.
