This elderly warehouseman was the last of the so-called "top men" who locked the Ark of the Covenant in a crate and stored it with the other containers at Hangar 51 in 1936.
Though he had worked for the government for years, he was unaware of the box's contents but satisifed that his job was not to question what was inside. Although he did hear a distinctive humming noise while pushing the crate, the man simply decided that he needed his hearing checked.
