The Schatzkammer (or Weltliche Schatzkammer) is a museum in Vienna, Austria. Initially the Imperial Treasury of the Hapsburg royal family, the Schatzkammer houses many medieval royal treasures from the Holy Roman Empire, and the 17th and 18th centuries. The Secular Treasury holds the household treasure of many of Austria's royal families (crowns, orbs, robes), while the Ecclesiastic Treasury holds valuable religious pieces, including golden reliquaries.
One of the most notable pieces in the Schatzkammer was a spear tip believed to be the Spear of Longinus. When Austria was annexed to Nazi Germany, the Spear was transferred to the museum in Nuremberg, where it was maintained by Otto Nehrkorn.

The real Schatzkammer houses the artifact known as the Holy Lance, which is reputed to not be the Spear of Longinus, but contains a nail reputed to be one of the nails from the Crucifixion. After the annexation of Austria, the Lance was moved to Germany, but was returned by the Americans after the war.
